From the early days of his practice, Art has been litigating complex cases with potential multimillion-dollar exposure. He has a broad range of experience in all aspects of civil litigation, and his practice areas include civil rights, toxic torts, personal injury, and general liability. He has successfully defended manufacturers, governmental entities, and their employees before state and federal courts. Additionally, Art has recently been retained to help the District Attorney’s Office litigate a quo warranto action in civil court. There, he swiftly disposed of a meritless counterclaim against District Attorneys by way of an anti-SLAPP motion. Art’s creative and strategic approach to law and motion has allowed him to consistently obtain early dismissals and token-value settlements for numerous other clients.

Art received his B.A. from UCLA and his J.D. from Loyola Law School. At Loyola, Art successfully completed the Civil Litigation Concentration. This program included a year-long practical course where he defended a fictional corporate client in all stages of litigation. He also developed his advocacy skills by completing an externship at the District Attorney’s Office, where he conducted preliminary hearings in felony cases. Likewise, Art honed his writing and oral argument skills throughout his extensive participation in Scott Moot Court, Loyola’s largest moot court competition. After finishing among the top competitors, Art was selected to serve on Scott Moot Court’s Honors Board the following year. Finally, Art completed a judicial externship at the Second Appellate District of California Court of Appeal. There, he drafted appellate opinions and bench memoranda for Justice Fred Woods.

Art speaks fluently in the Russian and Armenian languages.
