Dorothy (Lala) Hassaram
Ms. Hassaram was born in Manila, Philippines. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Ateneo de Manila University and her law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
As a law student she was active in the Immigration Clinic, representing asylum applicants before the Chicago Asylum Office and Immigration Court. She was secretary of the Asian Law Student’s Association, as well as a member of the International Human Rights Society and the Women’s Legal Forum. She was also on the Dean’s List.
Ms. Hassaram obtained her Juris Doctor in May 2007 and joined Hurrell Cantrall LLP later that year. In December 2007, she was admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Prior to law school, Ms. Hassaram worked as an industrial engineering administrator for a large manufacturing company in Los Angeles. Her personal interests include theater, travel, and spending time with her family.
