Jill A. Wood
Born in Hayward, California, Ms. Wood received her undergraduate degree with honors from University of California at Santa Barbara, and her law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law, in San Francisco, California. Her law school honors include Deans List, Moot Court Board, distinction in Appellate Advocacy and an American Jurisprudence award in Writing and Research. In addition to these honors, she co-founded the Golden Gate University School of Law chapter of Phi Delta Phi, and was a member of the Women’s Law Association.
Ms. Wood was admitted to practice law in the State of California in June of 2002. Ms. Wood is a member of the State Bar of California and American Bar Association and was featured in the 2007 and 2009 Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars. Ms. Wood became an equity partner of Hurrell Cantrall LLP in 2010.
Her practice focuses on the representation of various clients in the areas of toxic-tort litigation, governmental entity litigation, product liability, employment law with an emphasis on constitutional claims, environmental law, sports law, medical malpractice and general liability. She is also increasingly involved in advising and working with various clients in the areas of institutional compliance and liability-avoidance practices. Ms. Wood has gained significant trial experience with several outstanding verdicts to her credit.
