Mai-Anh T. Nako

MNako@HurrellCantrall.com

Ms. Nako was born in Saigon, Vietnam.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of California at Los Angeles and received her law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.  During her time at Loyola Law School, Ms. Nako served as an Articles Editor of the International & Comparative Law Journal as well as the Ninth Circuit Liaison for Women in the Law for the American Bar Association.  She also served as a board member for the Asian Pacific American Bar Association.

Prior to working at the firm, Ms. Nako provided assistance for under represented minorities in the Asian American community through her work at the Asian Pacific American Legal Center.  She also served as a Fellow for a distinguished litigation firm in Santa Monica, California.

Ms. Nako represents clients in the areas of products liability, toxic torts, environmental law and general liability.  She has worked on a number of complex litigation matters resulting in numerous favorable settlements and dismissals on behalf of her clients.  In 2007 and 2008, she helped to secure a favorable settlement in a toxic tort case involving allegations of benzene exposure.  Today, she continues to be instrumental in the firm’s toxic tort practice.

Ms. Nako is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute.  Ms. Nako is admitted to practice in all of the California State Courts, the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit.
