Ms. Kaloustian joined Hurrell Cantrall LLP in 2005, and became a partner with the firm in 2011. While Ms. Kaloustian has litigated a variety of cases, her practice is focused on the representation of public entities and their employees in civil rights and employment matters. She has procured numerous judgments in her cases by way of dispositive motions, including cases alleging Fourth Amendment violations and wrongful death arising out of an officer-involved-shooting. In addition, she has obtained a number of judgments in favor of public entities in actions brought by their employees seeking indemnity and alleging violations of the Fair Employment and Housing Act. She also oversees the preparation of dispositive motions by other attorneys, which have resulted in dismissals and judgments for the defense.

In the cases which are not amenable for disposition through law and motion practice, Ms. Kaloustian postures them for trial through strategic pretrial motions and specially prepared jury instructions. As a result, she has obtained a number of defense verdicts and favorable outcomes in admitted-liability matters in state and federal court.

While Ms. Kaloustian enjoys litigating a variety of cases, she finds one of the most rewarding aspects of her practice to be representing the interests of the men and women in law enforcement who place themselves in harm’s way for public safety.

Ms. Kaloustian received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, from the University of Southern California in 2001, and her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in 2004. While in law school, Ms. Kaloustian served as a judicial extern for The Honorable Dickran Tevrizian of the United States District Court, Central District of California, as well as The Honorable Owen Lee Kwong of the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Ms. Kaloustian is a member of the State Bar of California, the United States District Court, Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
