Ashley S. Feder

Ashley S. Feder handles all stages of civil litigation defense in a variety of areas, including civil rights, government liability, employment law, personal injury, and foster care liability. She has successfully defended clients by obtaining dismissals at the pleading phase through favorable law and motion rulings, through plaintiffs’ voluntary dismissal, and after filing motions for summary judgment. Her experience also includes representation at mediation, at trial as first and second chair, and at oral argument on appeal.

Ms. Feder graduated from Brandeis University summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy with honors and five minor degrees. She graduated from University of San Francisco School of Law in 2010 with a Juris Doctor and a Public Interest Law Certificate with honors. During law school, she participated in the Street Law program where she taught high school students and middle school students law that would be relevant to their lives and practical for them to learn, such as employment law and landlord-tenant law. She also completed a judicial externship for The Honorable Margaret L. Oldendorf.

Ms. Feder became licensed to practice law in the State of California in 2010. She is also licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C., the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the California Central District of the United States District Court, and the California Northern District of the United States District Court.

In her free time, Ms. Feder volunteers for an organization that identifies young leaders from low-income communities and equips them with the resources, support, and academic skills required for success through high school, college, and career. For this organization, she organizes programs and workshops, gives presentations, and mentors students. She is also a member of the Cowboy Lawyers Association where she rides horses with attorneys and judges. As the Southern California Brandeis University Alumni Admissions Council Regional Chair, she interviews student applicants for the school in Southern California and leads the alumni interview program for Southern California. She enjoys distance running, dancing, spending time with her family, and the beach.
