Hilary Harris received her Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in 2012 and her Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School in New Orleans in 2016.
During law school, Ms. Harris was Editor in Chief of the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law, where she was published for her article entitled S.A.S. v. France: The Full Face Veil as a Threat to Public Safety and the Protection of Others. She worked as a law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in the Family Violence Division, working closely with her supervisors and law enforcement researching various pre-trial motions and case development. During her third year in law school, she was a Rule XX student lawyer in the Civil Clinic at Tulane Law where she represented numerous indigent clients in their housing and §1983 claims.
Prior to joining Hurrell Cantrall LLP, Ms. Harris served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office where she handled both felony and misdemeanor matters while continuing to work closely with law enforcement, victims of crime, and fellow district attorneys. At the DA’s office, she was able to hone her litigation and trial skills.
Ms. Harris is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts
