Blessing joined Hurrell Cantrall LLP in February 2021. Since she has managed a wide range of cases in state and federal courts, including, employment law, civil rights, personal injury, public entity defense and general liability. She participates in all phases of litigation, from inception to trial. Blessing has authored and argued successful dispositive motions, including summary judgment motions in high-value cases.
Prior to joining the firm, Blessing practiced at a Personal Injury law firm in Beverly Hills where she handled pre-litigation and litigation personal injury matters including, motor-vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractices, etc.
Before relocating to the United States, Blessing practiced in a leading full-service law firm in Nigeria, where she represented the interests of corporate and individual clients in an array of high-profile matters involving complex transactions, maritime law and election petitions. There, she attended hearings and argued motions in various courts throughout Nigeria, including the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Blessing earned her LL.B degree, a Juris Doctor equivalent, from the University of Abuja, Nigeria after 5 years of legal training, where she graduated top of her class. She thereafter advanced to the Nigerian Law School for a one-year professional licensure course where she finished in the top 2 percentile of her class. Blessing was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2016, and to the State Bar of California in 2020.
Blessing enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and hiking.
